Skill Comes From Practice.

Learning kickboxing involves more than knowing the names of techniques. Students work on how they move, where they place their hands and feet, and how individual skills connect.

Instruction and repetition give children opportunities to make adjustments, recognize progress, and keep working when a movement takes time to learn.

We emphasize control and respect as part of martial arts training.

Questions Parents Ask

Does my child need experience?

Tell Coach Iris about your child’s experience when you contact us. We’ll explain how getting started works and discuss whether the program fits your child’s needs.

What should my child wear or bring?

Contact us before the introductory lesson to confirm clothing and equipment. Please bring water for your child.

Should we buy gloves first?

Please speak with us before purchasing equipment so we can confirm what your child needs.

What contact or sparring is involved?

Ask Coach Iris about the current class format, contact expectations, and equipment requirements before your child’s first lesson.

How is this different from Kids Jiu-Jitsu?

Kickboxing focuses on striking skills, including punches, kicks, and footwork. Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling, positions, escapes, and control. We can help you choose a starting point for your child.
