AMAC Kids Jiu-Jitsu is a dynamic and engaging self-defense program that teaches children how to protect themselves using leverage, technique, and strategy—allowing a smaller, weaker individual to effectively defend against a larger opponent. More than just a martial arts class, our program keeps kids active, helping them build strength, flexibility, and coordination in a fun and supportive environment.

Structured Learning for Maximum Growth

To ensure the best learning experience, our kids’ classes are divided into two age groups whenever possible:

  • Ages 7-9: Introduced to the core techniques of Jiu-Jitsu, striking, and grappling through structured drills, interactive training, and controlled sparring. The focus is on developing coordination, body awareness, and foundational self-defense skills in a fun and engaging way.
  • Ages 10-14: Cover the same core techniques but with more advanced instruction, deeper technical details, and a stronger emphasis on strategy and application. Older students refine their skills through more complex drills, situational training, and problem-solving exercises.

Both groups learn the same fundamental principles, but instruction is adapted to match their age, skill level, and ability to grasp more advanced concepts. This approach ensures that every student is challenged appropriately while building confidence, discipline, and resilience.

A Comprehensive Martial Arts Curriculum

Our program blends elements from multiple martial arts disciplines, including:
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu – Mastery of leverage, control, and ground defense.
Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) – Combining grappling and transitional techniques for real-world application.

A Fun and Effective Approach to Learning

We understand that younger children learn best through play, which is why our curriculum integrates structured games designed to teach core self-defense principles naturally. Through these engaging activities, students develop strong reflexes, body awareness, and problem-solving skills—without even realizing they are learning complex martial arts techniques.

More Than Just Self-Defense

Beyond physical skills, AMAC Kids Jiu-Jitsu fosters:
Focus & Discipline – Improved concentration, self-control, and goal-setting.
Confidence & Social Skills – A supportive environment that builds resilience and teamwork.
Fitness & Coordination – A full-body workout that enhances strength, agility, and endurance.

Studies show that physically active children experience fewer chronic health issues and improved cognitive function. Martial arts training, in particular, has been found to benefit children with ADHD by reinforcing self-discipline and focus.

Building Confidence Through Awareness

While self-defense is at the core of our program, true empowerment comes from awareness and confidence. Students learn to assess situations, de-escalate conflicts, and use only the necessary level of force. For children facing bullying or growing up in challenging environments, this knowledge provides peace of mind—allowing them to walk with confidence and security.

At AMAC, we don’t just teach kids how to fight—we teach them how to never need to.
