Jennifer Wood

Jennifer is an instructor for the kid’s program at the Academy. Additionally, she steps in as an assistant instructor for several of the adult classes. She has been training in Martial Arts for over ten years. She has trained in multiple systems, but her primary focus is Brazilian jujitsu.
Jennifer Wood has a passion for helping others and creating positive shared experiences. She has leveraged her passions and OCD skills to thrive in her various roles in event management, group tourism, site event coordinator, non-profit organization management, and residential therapeutic program director. She has frequently been referred to as the glue of companies she has impacted as she utilizes her emotional intelligence and organizational skills to develop healthy and dynamic teams. Jennifer strives to lead with compassion, empathy, and authenticity in everything she does, which helps her develop relationships based on trust and respect.

Jennifer believes in pushing through comfort zones and always looking for opportunities for improvement. This has not only helped her in her professional career but is also evident in her personal interests. She enjoys kayaking/canoeing, backpacking/hiking, martial arts, rock climbing, being a gym rat, scuba diving, and is a certified yoga instructor with a focus on trauma-sensitive yoga.
